IELTSの概要
IELTSとは、世界140カ国、10,000以上の期間が認定し、年間300万人以上が受験しています。
いわば、英語テストのグローバルリーダーともいえるテストです。
TOEFLは北米、IELTSはヨーロッパという印象がありますが、そうでもなくなってきています。
IELTSは、アイビーリーグを含む約3,000の高等教育期間で認定されています。

2つのIELTSアカデミック
IELTSアカデミックには２種類あるのをご存知ですか？
普通の”IELTS”と”IELTS for UKVI”です。

IELTS for UKVIの方が高いし、全国で２会場しかないけど、それなりのメリットがあるんです。
条件付き入学のpre-sessionalコースやFoundationコースで入学前に英語を鍛えたい場合はIELTS for UKVIしか認めてくれません。
普通のIELTSでは、条件付き合格もらったら、合格までになんとしても指定されたスコアを超えないといけませんが、IELTS for UKVI を受験していれば入学前に現地でpre-sessionalコースを受けて合格すれば大学に入学できます。
申し込み手続き
IELTSテストの申し込み期限は19日前の正午まで申し込みが可能です。
じっくり予定を立てて計画して勉強しているのに、直前まで仕事がどうなる分からない社会人にはとっても良い条件ですね。

- 当日に有効なパスポートが必要

というように待合室から面接の開始直後までの導入が行われます。
ここでは、趣味、料理、スポーツ、友達、家族、住んでる町について質問されます。
面接の開始がとても大切ですので、要点を整理しておきます。
Ebinstein同じ語彙や表現を何回も使うのは最も良くないです。
同じような意味の言い換えを用意しておきましょう。
Important → vital, crucial
Hobbies → pursuit, free time activies, interests, things that we enjoy doing
それでは少し会話を見てみましょう。
Examiner: Let’s talk about something different now. What do you like to do in your free time?
Candidate: Okay, well, I don’t have a lot of spare time at the moment because I am quite
busy with study but when I do have time off I like to get outside and do something active.

Candidate: Yes I do. Everyone needs them. When we are working or studying, free time

Speaking Part2
Part2ではカードが配れます。
そのカードにトピックが書かれており、1分で準備し、話します。
メモ用紙ももらえますが、1分しか時間がないので箇条書きとかにしてメモするのが良いでしょう。
その際に、スピーチを膨らませるために後ほど紹介するPREP法を使うことをお勧めします。

was chosen because of its size. It was really big, so there was enough room for our family

just like to ask you one or two more general questions related to this. First of all, how
important is it, in your view, to share special occasions with your family?
Candidate: Very important. In my case, I couldn’t have graduated without them, so I wanted them to be there. I mean, they paid for my books, they drove me to school, they helped me with homework, so I wanted to celebrate with me.
What are some different special occasions celebrated in your country?

Why do you think that we celebrate special occasions?
You may be asked: how important is it in your view, for families to share special occasions?
